Description of the Qualification
The Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) is your next formal qualification for those working in aged care as a personal care assistant who wish to further their skill set and work in a more senior role as a supervisor, or team leader. You will be trained as a leader in the delivery of care to the clients in the aged care industry.

Entry Requirements
Whilst there are no prior learning or employment prerequisites to gain entry into the Certificate IV Ageing Support, Certificate III Individual Support (or equivalent) is recommended.
i) All potential students must attend a compulsory information session.
ii) Skills Training Australia will conduct a review of your current competencies, including language, literacy and numeracy skills, in order to ensure this is the most appropriate qualification to achieve your intended outcomes

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = 18 — 15 core units — 3 elective units, consisting of:
i) at least 2 units from the electives listed below
ii) up to 1 unit from the electives listed below, any endorsed Training Package or accredited course – these units must be relevant to the work outcome
All electives chosen must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
